1990 2.5 I broke my crankshaft into two pieces.

I have the engine torn down to the bare block, and found that I have one more problem. The engine/transmission alignment pin (I named it myself) is mangled on one side it needs to be pulled out and replaced before I bolt the tranny back up. Where can I find these? Should I go to a junkyard? Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible that engine/ tranny misalignment is what caused my crank to break?

What you're probably talking about is in the bell housing there is a"dowel pin It might also be in the back of the engine block (either or). I would probably check your local junkyard. I'm not sure of any stores that sell replacements. If I find one I'll let yah know.
