Wrangler SRT6

The new JP Magazine is reporting that a Wrangler SRT6 will be produced with a 4.0L supercharged V-6. The engine will make 415hp and 410 lb-ft of torque with 7.5 psi of boost. The front will have a Dana 44 and the rear will be a hybrid Dana 60. The suspension will also be lowered. Now I could not believe it when I read it and I don't know if this is the real deal or not but it is definitely big news whether you like it or not.

lowered suspension... WTF?

An SRT6 wrangler... WTF?

Just add a diesel to the existing wrangler, sell it with 35's stock, price it 5k above the rubicon version of the 2 door and 4 door, and theyll have themselves a product they would not be able make enough of!

But this lowering thing... someone needs to be shot

I agree. But, unlike the people on this board, most consumers have their heads somewhat up their asses; if DC makes this, they WILL SELL IT. No questions asked; people are stupid and lowered, fast things with big rims is evidently the shiznit...

Lowered springs? Most people on this forum swap in different springs anyways. However, I have my doubts that this vehicle will actually be built (although I have yet to actually read the article in JP).

It also looked like there was a winch behind the front bumper.

So I finally read the article in JP, and come on, read the other news and look at the pic It's obvisouly an April fool's joke. (In Feburary, but in the April issue) Some of the other news is also obvisouly a joke.

Sorry, I didn't mean to upset everyone. I knew it couldn't possibly be true and that was before I even considered the April fools aspect.
