x2000

It would need to be a 4-person truck though, I have kids and I need to be able to move them all in all cars. I have a Tacoma now and I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a Gladiator if it had the same room as my Access cab... ray:

I Email'd Jeep about the Gladiator and received this response.

Dear Craig:

Thank you for your email regarding the Jeep Gladiator concept vehicle.

Please accept my apologies regarding the delayed response. Due to the
increased interest in the Chrysler Group LLC products, I was not able to
reply to your email as quickly as I would have liked.

Jeep greatly appreciate your interest in the Jeep Gladiator concept. At
the present time, Chrysler Group LLC has not disclosed any official
plans to offer the Jeep Gladiator to its future lineup of vehicles.
Though the decision has been made to forego production of the Jeep
Gladiator concept vehicle, it does not mean that the Jeep Gladiator will
not be considered for production at a future date. With constantly
shifting market trends I would hesitate to discount the possibility of
new products on the horizon specifically designed to suit your needs.
Please feel free to check back with the Jeep Product Information Center
periodically for future updates.

Chrysler Group LLC genuinely value consumer feedback and comments like
yours are one way to learn of consumer desires. The information received
is used in product development and market analysis. Many of our concept
vehicles have made it to market, such as the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited,
the Dodge Challenger, and the Chrysler PT Cruiser. I have documented
your interest and will make it available to the product planning team.

Feel free to sign up for updates on the Jeep brand by visiting http://www.jeep.com/signup.
by signing up, you will receive a quarterly eNewsletter with updates and
information as it becomes available on new vehicles, special offers,
upcoming events, and more!

If you have any product questions about the current Jeep lineup, you are
always welcome to reply back to this email and I will respond back to
you as promptly as I can. If you prefer, you can also call me directly
with your questions at the Jeep Product Information Center by calling
1-800-964-0600.

Thank you for your interest in Jeep, Craig. Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Maureen

Found this on Mike's Free Jeep News now this morning:

"I've received a couple of unconfirmed reports this morning that a Wrangler-based 1-ton pickup has been confirmed at a "Dealers Principles" meeting. The vehicle is said to come with a turbo diesel engine and go on sale during calendar year 2011.

If anyone can add to this, please do so in the comments below."

Jeep If you can't figure out we want this Truck you need to fire your entire market research staff and buy a laptop. Hang out at a coffee shop and surf the dozens and dozens of forums where loyal Jeepers have been pining for a truck for years!...I got that same letter in 2005 just after the Gladiator concept came out. WOW 6 years from concept to production...slow down Jeep we don't want you to get ahead of yourself!

My first truck was a Comanche. LOVED that little truck. Would be glad to trade my current ride for 6-speed diesel.

If that really happens, expect to pay an additional Dealer Mark-Up to get one, because they won't be able to keep them on the sale-lots.

Oh... and I WILL own one!

Yuck, unless it's the nukiser I have no interest in ever owning one, even if i was given a gladiator Id sell it to fix up an old j20 or something more appealing, I'm not mch of a fan for the jk, and the gladiator is even uglier in my opinion
