What is Jeep Formula?

This question isn't ask much, because it sometimes leads to major wars.
When used in a sentence it's normally used as "say I wish they would get back to the old jeep Formula." Or I miss the old jeep formula.

Can you tell us what this Formula is?

My take on the old formula is this:

"Anything not needed to get around where there are no roads is not needed".

That said, I don't think Jeep needs to "get back to the old formula" at all. I personally think they're better off building budget Range Rovers that actually are better vehicles than the Range Rovers.

Actually the formula for building a jeep is

J=MC$+D

Jeep = Manpower x Creativity x Cash + Determination

then for owners of older jeeps Add Frustration X Pain haha
