Small JEep

I ran across this article this morning: http://www.autoblog.com/2013/10/03/f...eep-spy-shots/

I think a small jeep could be great, but I was hoping it would be based off of the Panda, not the 500L.

Should be interesting though.

I think it will be another semi-capable soft-roader. Certainly not anything like a Wrangler. Of course the spy photos o the mule with the 500 body will have everyone screaming bloody murder, but it will be interesting when pics of the real body surface.

The Jeep CEO says the JK will need to get engine options sooner than later... I read that as Tigersharks and Diesels.

The obsession with small cars is getting out of hand. Just because it is small does not make it efficient nor capable.
The Suzuki is a great example of this.

The compact Jeep is more oriented towards European markets, where compact softroaders are big business.

And while the SX-4 may not be the most efficient thing around, there are plenty of compact crossovers that have great mileage, on account of not being old and outated as all hell-the SX-4 came out in '06 and hasn't changed since then. Meanwhile, cars like the Nissan Juke and Mini Countryman get between 27 and 30 MPG combined-which isn't too bad considering their size.
