Rumors of the Grand Wagoneer name returning in 2013

Allpar.com says it will be based on the Dodge Durango platform.

I'm not sure I like the wood trim pieces.

Our Jeep is approaching 100,000 miles and we're starting to think about getting a new daily driver if my wife's office moves farther from mine and we can't carpool anymore.

I don't really like any of the pictures. I would have to wait for better, more detailed pictures to make a decision.

Every vehicle in that link looks hideous with the exception of the
Chrysler 200C & 300C.

Unless Hell freezes over the only Jeep I would buy in the future is a Wrangler Unlimited....with a diesel I would be there tomorrow.

Next for me would be a 4Runner Trail Edition.....

I've seen these before. The Wagoneer, by God, if they return it I hope they do it justice. Most of these are hideous except for the 200c and 300c, those are pretty gorgeous vehicles - But I don't drive vehicles 2" off the ground. But, I can see myself owning a WKII sometime in the next couple years - I think the timing will be perfect too, because the CRD WKII is projected around that time.

That's sweet...which, sadly, is why we'll probably never see one from Chrysler.

The Grand Cherokee and Durango are on the same platform. The Grand Wagoneer should have the length of the Durango but the suspension and drive train from the Grand Cherokee. It won't be just a Durango with a Jeep name on it. As to how it will look? If anyone knows they aren't risking their jobs by saying. There are several Allpar members that work at Chrysler and they are very careful to live within the rules set down by the corporation.

1st one- 1989 Cherokee Laredo. 12 great years
2nd one- 2001 Cherokee Limited. Got it before they were gone.

The people on Allpar that HAVE seen the prototypes so far are saying that it at least LOOKS the part of a modernized Grand Wagoneer.

Also, if/when it DOES return, it'll be Jeep's halo (Not flagship, that'll always be the Wrangler) vehicle, and start around $60,000-$70,000.

I hate it and love it at the same time.

But the pics of the Wagoneer are awesome

Roses are red
Violets are blue
They don't think it be like it is,
But it do.

Alcohol may be mans worst enemy, but the Bible says to love your enemy.
