The Wagoneer series ran from 63'-91' that was more the plenty good run, The last thing jeep needs is another over sized under powered Mega SUV . . . Sure for its almost 30yr run the 8-12mpg was all well n cool . . . But to produce a modernized 15-17mpg brick block just seems to be a waste of our TAX dollars ;-) ! Build US = ME a Wrangler/Grand Cherokee/Commander based Pickup truck instead ! ! !

Even a badge engineered RAM1500 with RAM2500/3500 axles ;-)

to be perfectly technical the wagoneer ran from 63-83,and the grand wagoneer 84-91 and 93,but it was just a luxed up grand cherokee with imitation wood side decals, well you could get it without that, but anyways

personally I think they would've been able to keep it going longer with minimal updates, since they were pulling in considerable profits,a measly power sunroof option,a roof console, keyless entry, and some color changes are really kind of pidly for chrysler to have done if they would've atleast added mpfi they probably could've kept it going for a couple more years, just my opinion

There was also a "Wagoneer" in the first few years of the XJ-Cherokee ! So if you wanna make fun of my post then you shouldn't leave out any info on yours as well slick ;-) !

Wagoneer be it grand limited ect bad idea in general ! ! !

Anywho, I'm not much of an SUV person myself so the last Jeep for me rolled out the doors in 1992.
The wife now she is all about the Wagoneer series, I been trying to convince her the XJ is just as good more then likely far better as it ran til 01' with a lot more rigs built !

Simplest retro look, would be taking the nukizer front end and stuffing it onto the front end of a commander, Hmm. Nukizer front end on the front of a JK/Commander= more sales for Jeep.
