For those of us who live in the rust belt. How about putting rubber plugs in the seemingly endless number of holes in the frame and under side of the body. They allow mud and water to get inside and start the rusting process.

And another spot on the JK's was the giant container above the front bumpstops. That hole could probably hold 16oz of water/mud and slowly rots the bumpstop.

No leaks would be great.

Somehow, better MPG. Is a real 20 mpg's asking too much? (after steel bumpers and a winch are added)

EPA regulations, and the fact that American consumers don't buy diesels in general. Barely anything is available with a diesel in North America, we just get 3/4-ton and larger pickups and a small selection of German cars. More are supposed to be coming soon, though.

Jeez just build the Gladiator (possible) and put the 3.0L diesel (remotely possible) + 6 spd manual (hardly possible) in it.

Else I'm just gonna buy another Extended-cab Tacoma...

Actually, all three things are fairly likely. Just not until 2014 at the earliest.

The diesel is all-but confirmed. The Grand Cherokee will be ready to buy with the 3.0L diesel in North America for January 2013 as a 2014 (Short 2013 model year), and, depending on the success of that engine, they plan to roll it out in all the larger cars, trucks, Jeeps and vans in the next few years. Wrangler, Ram, minivans, 300 and Charger will probably have it by 2014/2015.

They're staying vague on the truck, but Jeep and Chrysler CEOs have said that they know the demand is there, but they can't really do anything about it until the Wrangler is redesigned for 2014/2015. As it stands, the Wrangler assembly line is running at 100% capacity, and Chrysler has more important things to spend its R&D budget on.

The 6-speed, honestly, is the one thing I'm not sure on, since manuals are disappearing everywhere.

Ditch the Brute idea and give me a Gladiator. Build it on the JUK chassis but don't make it look like a Wrangler converted to a pick up.
Don't want a factory lift option. Would be to expensive and a pain in the butt on many levels, imho.

Make it easier to flush out the frame and put some better paint/coating on it.

Turbo diesel/ 4cyl gas or V6 engines I don't care which but give me the option to choose. I just want it to be reliable and some what efficent.

Beefier axles, at least on the Rubicon models.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Here is an intresting article.

Hahaha lol pedestrians that are dumb enough to get in front of my jeep deserve everything they get. I'm blown away that that's a real law.... I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

I would just be happy if they put a decent paint job on them. Mine scratches if the wond blows hard enough and in many places doesn't even cover the primer.

Where do you think those plastic bumpers and fenders came from? The Wrangler is sold in Europe and had to meet the pedestrian impact laws over there. Jeep decided it was easier to produce and stock one set of fenders instead of two. There is a difference in the European bumper. It comes up in front of the wheels to mostly close the gap between the bumper and fender. Can't let someone get tire burn when they jump in front of a moving vehicle.
