I make decent money and couldn't imagine $800+ a month for jeep payments. Is it just me or does that not seem a little steep for a vehicle payment?

Mine was just under $30000 with interest and taxes and all the other crap and I'm about $500 a month. That's good for me lol.

Not everybody finances...
Of those that do, most don't finance 100%

WHY OH WHY can't I get one of these very utilitarian and functional J-8's here in the states? Even Egypt has them, and with a diesel too. We invented the Jeep, and now are "hands tied" by the government.
Perhaps I wwould forgo the M-2, and the M-60, but the rest could be sold like hotcakes!

UN fortunately Doc222, you are correct!
And since I live in the great gulag of Kalifornia, I am forbidden to even make my vehicles more fuel efficient to save cost of fuel.

But since the STATE makes more money from taxes the more you PAY for fuel, THAT could be a factor. Fed tax on a gal of fuel is about 26 cents a gallon, and the state takes their cut at 9%, then the county of L.A., tkaes their additional 3/4%...So no incentive to make fuel cheaper....

Ontario Canada is the same way. We pay about $4.50 per gallon here. The government makes so much money on fuel it's crazy. A 24 of bud costs $38. I was at the duty free and got the same case for $17. Stupid greedy government

The government makes more on a gallon of gas than anybody involved. They are the only "evil oil company".

I don't discriminate. I hate everyone.

The tax on that beer, and cigarettes, and fast food, and all the other stuff you eat, drink or smoke and makes you more statistically likely to need it is what pays for our health care.

I've been paying $40 for a 24 for years now. I had cancer, and had every step of my operation to remove it paid for by the tax on that beer. I think it's a fair trade.

That and the fact that us in the lower 48 are the ones that shoulder the true costs of prescription medicines.

THAT would make sense if our free-king government used the money to fund medical care.

INSTEAD...they Pi&& it away on studies of the South American Swamp Rats Toe Fungus, or golf trips by his majesty to Hawaii, or for some low life in Chicago to live rent free in a government building. If our government were as frugal, and as efficient as private industry, we could have the best care in the world. Instead, we get nepotism, and $1000 dollar toilet seats on politicians air planes.

I've been driving Mercedes Sprinter vans for years and the V6 VM motors are awesome to live with. Starts when it's 20 below 0. Never breaks and awesome power when the turbo kicks in hard.
It is the same motor used in the new Jeeps.
