THIS IS FROM 2011....

Back in the spring Jeep/Mopar brought us one of the hottest off-roaders we’ve seen in years: the NuKizer 715. After its debut, there were a lot of fans of the pickup meets jeep, and a number of whispers that Jeep might consider building it. Some recent words by none other than Sergio Marchionne indicate that Chrysler is leaning toward a production version of the NuKizer–or at least something similar.

According to Automotive News, Marchionne said of a Jeep pickup: “I would love to bring that vehicle to market.”

His words came while detailing a number of new vehicles that Chrysler has in store for the next few years, and while short of a full confirmation, they do indicate that the company is giving a long, hard look at a production Jeep pickup. And we hope that pickup looks identical (or near-identical) to the NuKizer, though we’d expect it would have to be a little less burly and military-esque. [via AutoNews]

Im not talking about going to the dealer tomorrow and ordering one. Im still maintaining my hope for the 2016 cycle. Next years auto show should be the defining moment for all of us hoping to see one at a local dealership.

According to the Chrysler R&D, that's not even in the future.

I figured that also, which is why I made the note that it was from an article from 2011. Lots can change in 2 years in the auto industry.

I would settle for this stretched 6 passenger wrangler that AEV built for SEMA. AEV named it the Wrangler Six Pak. It has 3 rows of seating.

Nice rig but the break over angle sucks

Jeep truck? yeah thats a long road for Chrysler, it wasnt so hard for AMC back then.

I'd love to see a truck similar to the J20 or Comanches back then.

The FC concept looks pretty cool - the interior is what really pulls it all together. I'll have to stick with a Jeep Wrangler for now. Maybe I'll mod the interior to match that FC.

I'd STILL LOVE to see a FC type vehicle with good break over angles, and a nice small, say 3.5 ltr diesel!

Good fun vehicle, and lots of off road capability.
Problem might be in the ride quality would probably suck. And forward controls make them somewhat vulnerable.
But The MOG and the several other military style ones have made this a possibility if they wanted.

Loved this combo, and it went anywhere my Wrangler went except through a tight slot that was too narrow.

Of course it doesn't really mean that it will happen, but the jeep site showing it off is at least semi-promising.
