I'm thinking about it. Tax season is coming up before to long. I don't know If i wanna spend money on a long arm kit and tires for my zj, get a new yj, or buy an old project jeep! haha. It's hard to decide.
They were supposed to release it a few years ago, but that's when the economy tanked. I've read more recently, sometime in 2013 is when it's coming. The Gladiator is the only one I've heard of. I love it and really wish they'd release it already! Last I heard, a 4 or 6 cylinder diesel was supposed to be in the works for it.
eh, we get all the details about new models so we can learn how to work on them. I can tell you that for 2013-2014 there is no Jeep trucks from the factory coming to America.

Although I'm not sure how many people that would buy a Jeep truck would actually buy a RAM instead. If I where to buy a full sized truck now I can guarantee it would be a Chevy/GMC (either a 1500 with the 6.2L V8 or a 2500 with the 6.6L Duramax/Alison).
Any trucks Jeep builds won't compete with Ram. The Gladiator will be positioned more against vehicles like the Toyota Hilux. The Dakota is gone, its replacement is on-hold and, if/when it is replaced, it won't be a normal BOF truck-it'll be more like a better Honda Ridgeline or a smaller Chevy Avalanche.
If you want a full-size truck, it won't come from Jeep. So far, the CEO's of Jeep, Ram AND Chrysler as a whole have said that Jeep won't be building any direct Ram competitors. The Gladiator is to attract people who traditionally buy midsize Japanese pickups, and those who used to buy Dakotas.
"Buying a Jeep for on-road handling is like downloading porn to savor the cinematography."
