The new jeep truck

Ive heard diffrent things about the new jeep gladiator. Is it coming out next year as a 2013 model or is chrysler going to wait and release it later. I own a 87 jeep comanche, and I would like to see jeep put another truck back on the road.

Jeep has three possibilities mentioned for a Jeep truck.

The first, and most likely, is something akin to the Gladiator concept, due along with or shortly after, and based on, the next-generation Wrangler in 2014-2016.

The second is something more similar to the Comanche, based on the rumoured Ram 50. The Ram 50 would be a compact or midsize BOF pickup aimed to compete with the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi Triton overseas, although it may be sold in North America as well. (It's unlikely that both the Ram 50 and a Jeep version would be sold in North America)

The third is something similar to the Fiat Strada Adventure, based on a Fiat platform (Likely the next-gen Liberty). If this is released, it would likely be released alongside a more traditional BOF pickup, not instead of.

That looks small. I like it! That Subaru Baja, and the Honda Ridgeline are both fine utes, but both I fear are a little too sedan and a little too little ute - not everyone has a big family. I'm a non-breeder and for obvious reasons most of the people who have time to hang out with me are also non-breeders.. many of us have 2 door cars, or pickups or even a couple surviving 2-door SUV's like used to be made.

That Strada Adventure looks like the first domestically available ute I'd actually shop.

The Strada is also up for consideration as a Ram as well. Either way, Chrysler is likely to offer a Ute in North America sooner rather than later.

I've also heard about upcoming Gladiator in a single cab configuration and optional 44 with a diesel engine using Wranguler unlimited as base.

The FC's very unlikely due to crash restrictions, but you'll, in all likelyhood, have the chance to buy a Gladiator in the next few years. It's coming, don't worry, Chrysler just has more 'important' (Economically speaking) vehicles to design first.

i think there would be a .001% chance of a factory fc, if the right stars aligned, and the earth started spinning backwards. heck, even a cab kit would be cool. my moneys on the j12, since its pretty much all there. i.e., export military j8 body and its based off the jk frame. hd axles, diesel and a 6 speed and id definitely probably get one.

I don't know about you guys..but the best One I have seen yet is their concept for the Forward Control Jeeps. Ever seen the old ones? Well, check this one out.

I love the idea of it. If I ever see an old one..I might have to snag it up.
