My New 4 door Jeep Wrangler

As of the 20th of Sept. I am the proud owner of a new 2007 4 door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I must say I have never driven a Jeep that Compares. Not to say it is better or worse than any other jeep but it is definatly different. It is so quite and so smooth that It is hard to believe. I will post some pics soon , but cant at the moment being that I am at work. I just had to get on the Forums and brag on it a little. It the first Jeep I have ever Owned but always been an admirer.

I would love to answer any question you may have , but I am a mechanic by no means. Please keep that in mind if you ask any technical questions.

Looks nice.

Hey, what program did you use to do the zoom-ins on your link, or was it something on the hosting site.

I just found a program Proshow Gold that does similar stuff and is very neat.

Congratulations!

I'm still waiting for our dealers to get one in
Not sure what the hold up is???

I was upset to hear that the Sahara is not available in Stone White this year.
Guess they had to leave something to add next year. How about the Hemi?

Good Luck with your new toy!

I sure hope it holds up for ya, I just couldn't get past the mini-van engine so I got the 06 unlimited. I wanted the tried and true 4.0. If it turns out the new one is that much better, I'll trade mine in in 08. Keep us posted on how it holds up.

Did you know that the first Jeep engine came out of a car? And did you know that
while improvements were made over the years this "car" engine would be used in Jeeps for almost 40 years!
This 3.8 is nothing but a bored 3.3. The 3.3 is in my wifes Eagle Vision. Gasp. A car.
And while the drivetrain on the Vision is front wheel drive the engine is mounted
north to south just like in the JK instead of east and west like most front wheel drives.

So Jeep starts with a car engine and returns to a car engine. And along the way other car engines were used like the Buick 225 V6. Gasp. Another V6. And even the old 4.2 liter straight six came from an engine in the Rambler. Another car!

Sweet ride! I can't beleive how much room those things have.

I'm taking my YJ in to the dealer for a recall Thursday morning and I have already set up a test drive with the dealership.

Well I have yet to push the engine, but it is new gimme time. I can tell you though i am impressed with the handling and smoothness of the ride. probly due to wider wheel base and all , but the engine is so quiet. I kinda liked the mean sound of the 4.0 I really enjoy it though i dont think the 4door is going to be for you 4x4 enthusiest though, i really think it is more of a family SUV. I do have a daughter and she loves it like i do. So These are just my thoughts on it. I really wanna buy a regular jeep now to mod and play with. IM HOOKED!!!

Looks great--I'm jealous! I just bought my Jeep liberty at lease end and figured I'd keep it for awhile but I may be trying to sell it early for one of these...

Can you elaborate on the new modular hard top?--things you like and don't like about it?

Thanks,
Steve
