Sweet!

I hope when they formally introduce the JT it will be a different color. That tan paint sucks.

I think they were going for a retro look with the tan. It matches the "4 Wheel Drive" logo on the tailgate and the rims. It's not too bad. The may do an options package with that color they way they did with the Willys's TJ's.

Want It Now!!!

jeep engineers, if you're listening - build the jt now!! No one in the auto industry is building a real compact truck that can handle abuse. Up here in nys several are linig up at toyota for their taco - which is overrated. WE need a short bed reg cab truck.... w/ that 4.2 cummins and man tranny be even better!!!!

The more complex and hi tech new vehicles are becoming, I enjoy the old ones more and more!

With all the specs and safety considerations in mind, I would love to see Jeep build a low cost (~10K) rig.

I think it would be a hit!

I think that it's the best of both worlds, except for I would like to see the tailgate fold down like a regular truck tailgate, like the CJs did

NEW J8 Pics!

The J8 "Sarge"

These are from AutoExpress.com.uk:

Man, this is a tough-looking Jeep! Cerberus would be stupid not to bring this version here and maybe call it the Gladiator! :headpop:
They're actually considering the Skunkwerks version:

The JT

Awsome! I like it.
I really don't like trucks but I would love to own one of these.
I think the tan makes in look rugged. Which is cool.

Here's some more info on the J8 ("Sarge") and the JT, which are virtually the same. The J8 was actually developed for the Egyptian military and is not being considered for civilian use. The JT is a one-off by Skunkwerks, which based it's concept on the J8, and is being considered for U.S. production. It may not use the rear cab panel from the Dakota, like the JT Concept, but aside from the D60 and leaf springs in the rear, the J8 and JT are nearly identical.

Here are some info links:

Enjoy!
