Still waiting but not holding my breath - I would be in one in a second! I want a small truck and that H3T is tempting - will have to wait on to see how it performs...

Give a little more detail on this please. It looks like a lot longer wheelbase with a shorter rear overhang. It kind of makes it look like its sagging in the middle.

I reminds me a bit of the JK truck, but with at TJ cab.

Hi.

Ok, it is 130" wheelbase, but the same overall length as a Brute. It has had the box sides lowered to match the TJ tub body line. (the stock Brute looks stupid with the roof off because the body doesn't line up with the tub)

It has no skidplate hanging down, as it uses an H1 Hummer chassis.

It has great gearing and drivetrain strength as is is H1 Hummer.

The wheelbase extension versus a Brute was for 2 reasons: First, this B1 will not drag the rear going thru a dip like a Brute. Second it works better with the H1 chassis.

I'm using a 5.7 HEMI with a 45RFE trans and the NP242 TC

Hummer H1 and Humvee A2:
Frame
A Arms
Axles
Geared Hubs
Diffs
Brakes
Steering
17" wheels

Custom or aftermarket:
Cab mods, sheetmetal
Engine harness and computer
Box
Rad
coilovers
Xmembers and mounts etc
Roll cage
TREK Corner/rocker combo by T & T Customs
Energy Suspension bushings

Dodge:
Hemi
45RFE transmission

Jeep:
Tub with Brute mod
Front clip or AEV highline
Interior

AEV:
Hardtop
Poss Highline kit

That's all I can think of off hand......

While Gladiator is a nice concept, it just wouldn't have sold well. The cabin is too small and the bed capacity is poor.

This is likely, so I think Jeep should design a truck that is more appealing to the market...believe me people will buy it!!!!!

buzzkill... I'm still hoping for a JT. My Ranger has 181,000+ miles on it but I want to keep a "truck". If I could get financing and a warranty on a Scrambler I might be in the market!

Man, that would be great, not that many choices for small trucks like this. Its narrow, can take top off, no independent suspension to deal with. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. If they (The "Big Three") are worried about selling trucks that get good gas mileage, I'm sure something fun and functional like this would be a good place to start. Given the right motor/tranny/gear combo this would probably be pretty efficient.

Wouldn't this be the thread up, about the Jeep brute. Sounds like the same concept you are looking for.

Have cash in bank, waiting for Gladiator. When or IF it happens, wife will buy one. If it's cool, I will too.
