The Lower Fourty isn't a production vehicle. It's just a concept. They're not building it.

Curious why you say the lower 40 would never see production. Personally I don’t like the lower 40 because the tires look too big but I love the hurricane and if toned down a little I think they would sell well.

Design exercises are neat and all, but they become a little insulting when they're waved in our faces over and over again.

Don't you ever feel a little short-changed?

Allegedly there's a Wrangler ute (pick up) based on the Dodge Ram platform coming in 2013, down under the year after, called the Gladiator.

Half right. While the Gladiator concept was built on a '05 Dodge Power Wagon frame, the production version would be based on the Wrangler.

Alternately, Jeep and Ram may both get a version of a midsize truck that Ram is supposedly developing for overseas markets, tentatively called the Ram 50.

Jeep may also, in addition to one of the above, see a ute based on the next-gen Liberty platform, something along the lines of the Fiat Strada Adventure (Possibly for the next-gen of the Strada)
