Jeep hatchback concept ??

look like a hatchet job to me. It might be a decent vehicle but it should NOT have the Jeep name on it.
I guess enough people spoke their minds about the alien look of the new cherokee that they made the renegade at least look better.
This is a face only a blind mother could love

Is there anything on it not low? look like a new Civic to me.

I wouldn't complain. If it makes the company more money to steal away from of the Subaru WRX market then fine by me. So long as we get a toy also like a FC or Nukizer

That is the laziest hackjob I've ever seen. Whoever made that should be ashamed.

That's a wistful photochop of a Fiat Punto. No basis in current plans. Especially since the Fiat Punto will be gone inside of a year or so.

As far fetched as this is...

I would sell my car and $3k built V8 in a heart beat for a Jeep badged AWD hot hatch...

If jeep made a nice AWD car with a tiny little diesel and some moderate offroad chops [not wrangleresque but at least patriot or renegade] I could see myself buying one for a DD if the preformance and mileage was there.

They did (Well AMC did anyway, since it didn't have a Jeep badge):

Though if you want a Diesel they are extremely rare (only 7 were made), though the 258 I6 and 4.0L I6 (1987 only) were available as was a 2.5L I4 (either the AMC 2.5L I4 or the Pontiac Iron-Duke depending on year).

The AMC Eagle was largely engineered by Jeep engineers, and borrowed very heavily from the CJ parts bin as well-it's close as makes no difference to a Jeep, and a surprisingly competent off-roader.

Agreed 10000%

and what is more if you want to have a eagle that is even more capable,
Its quite simple. a SAS axle swap from a XJ or TJ and your 80% done.

Now try that with one of the
Fix It Again Tony based Vehicles. Go ahead and look under one to see what your into

I liked the Buford T Justice comment

Your probably the only one that will think this is funny. I'm sure the dealership didn't, but they went along with it. I don't think many ask them to put a new vehicle on a lift. When I test drove a Patriot I looked under the hood and had them put it on a lift and looked underneath so I could see what I was in for down the road. Having come from an XJ I changed my mind on the Patriot pretty quick.lol Ended up settling on a KK Liberty.

That's what the Dart in fact SHOULD be! Ive been screaming forever that a rally-bred awd, SRT powered Compass would have street creds and balls to stuff STIs and Evos all day long.

The Dart in sedan form should go to Chrysler as an upscale subcompact, and the Dart should be a 5 door hatch and 2 door coupe with SRT power and AWD available separate or together. The Jeep brand image has been diluted enough with soft roaders. Now, I know you have to have them in order to penetrate those markets turn profits etc but those can be sold as Dodges or Fiats. Jeeps should all be hardcore, whether its powerful beasts like the Wrangler, or a fast gravel slinger like a theoretical SRT Compass.

I've been to a couple of the new car shows (not custom cars) where they them in indoors with carpet and battery are disconnected. More than one I've slid underneath Truck and Jeeps with a little flashlight to see how they are built.
Sales/marketing people there find out real quick I'll look for myself.

Ive done that too, at least when Im at the tire shop and I see OTHER cars up on the lift. In general I have a pretty good idea of how a vehicle Im interested in is put together. Any car based CUV that uses a fwd oriented driveline is basically an economy car. Lightly beefed up, if at all.
