Jeep CXJ...

This is in 1/60, I made it with some CJ6 and XJ parts I had...

That isn't too far from a couple of Jeep in house design studies. The CJ front end was drawn onto the front of the old Willys station wagons trying to update the look. I don't know if it ever went beyond that. Also, the front end look of the Jeepster concept was drawn onto the front of the XJ as one possible look when the KJ Liberty was being designed. If I get time I'll scan the pictures and post them.

1st one- 1989 Cherokee Laredo. 12 great years
2nd one- 2001 Cherokee Limited. Got it before they were gone.

From the windshield back you can see a lot of the 1963 Gladiator sheet metal in this drawing from 1960.


Grafting the 1998 Jeepster concept front onto a squarish XJ style body before jeep went round for the Liberty.

1st one- 1989 Cherokee Laredo. 12 great years
2nd one- 2001 Cherokee Limited. Got it before they were gone.

Someone with enough ingenuity and time could probably do that... I'm not the guy but I'd love to see one. Great idea though
