It did look like a good deal, why not leave just the Wrangler, Cherokee aka Liberty and Grand , and go back to reemphasize 4wd. Yeah, just a dream, but I'd like a rubber floor mat option (hate carpet!) and the Rubi on all lines sounds good. They got me for a minute though! Maybe if we get lucky someone likeminded will buy Jeep and do this.

Anyway, I'm surprized the article was published because International (Navistar) is a public company and the Securities Exchange Commission has some pretty specific rules about information being released on public companies and what could be considered insider information and/or spreading false news to manipulate a stock price. On top of that, someone could have bought stock in GM or Navistar based on the article and if they lost money they might have case against the magazine.

All in all, it was a great joke, but if their lawers had seen it, there's no way it would been published!
Guess they figure that anyone who reads JP doesnt have any money for stocks anyway

Hell I can't aford one yet either, but the potential of the damned cool options on the used car lot a few years later sounded really great.

I suspect that'll go out of style like square headlights. Also chryslers fault. Of couse if you ask me Jeep went to **** the day kaiser sold off to AMC in 1970. No use crying about crappy new vehicles when you can buy, insure and maintain an old one for ten times less.

I thought the front center section was changing to aluminum but will still be IFS. One spy pic seems to also show rear independent suspension.

too many people want the jeep nameplate, without the ride quality or the need to ever venture farther than a gravel driveway.
