I LIKE THE GRILL ,always have thought it was was real JEEP looking ( the round lites in rectangular surrounds blends old &new Jeep perfectly ) I'm sure AMC would have evolved to this design ( oh well , then theres MOPAR )

If the doors and top come off they will have a runaway hit on their hands. My question is why hasn't jeep come up with a redesign for the Wrangler line? The JK is nice but it isn't radical enough to turn Jeep/Chrysler around.

lolwut?
The JK has been a runaway success for Chrysler. It's one of their best-selling models right now, up there with the Ram and minivans. Hell, it was breaking into the top 20 for most of the year, and for quite a while was the only production vehicle showing month-over-month and year-over-year sales increases this year. It's outselling the TJ's numbers handily, is far and away Jeep's best-selling model, selling almost as much as every other Jeep save the Grand Cherokee combined. Most of this has to do with the Unlimited, BTW. The 'Jeep Minivan' that so many of you guys bemoan accounts for about 60% of new Wrangler sales right now, and is the main reason the JK has been such a success-because you can actually use the words 'Wrangler' and 'practical' in the same sentence without a hint of irony.

This FTW. ![]() Also, how are you guys getting that it looks like an FJ? I mean seriously? It's really more of a JK crossed with H3 styling, in fact, the biggest difference I noticed is that it has a hardtop that looks like it doesnt require a team of people or pulley system to lift! I will be very curious for the first few years of it's existence, if it shows it is capable, economical and practical, then dare I say watch out Wrangler ![]()

Looks like the concept is dead now that GM cant find anyone who will buy Hummer.
Jeep should make something like this. Not, by any means, update the Wrangler into it (IFS/IRS on a Wrangler would be silly) but I'd like to see something similar to the Wrangler but a little more... "high speed". I'd buy something like the Jeep Hurricane in a second. |

If it's dead then good riddance,,, IMO all Hummer products, except maybe the original H-1 are over-priced & over-hyped pieces of crap, I have NEVER seen an H-3 or H-3 out on trails more difficult than a graded dirt road.
All style, no substance! Save a few bucks abd just buy a Tahoe or Trail Blazer,, these are the chassis of the H-2 & H-3 anyways.

I have a feeling that painting it matte OD green would make it look leagues better. And ditch that chrome.

Well being AM General produced the humvee H1 and H2 I'm shocked they didn't buy the line or rather take the line and sell it them selves . . .
Maybe it'll be revisited by the newly paid for GM ? Mike |

The first time I saw a Hummer H4 I was rather pleased and upset at the same time. It was a vehicle that I would be willing to drive, but I wouldn't want this to replace any of my Jeeps. It is bad enough as it is that I get that "I'm better than you" look from Hummer drivers when I drive my Jeep. BUT, I get my rewards when I have to yank one out of a ditch with my Jeep.
