If you squint your eyes it kind of looks like a explorer sport-trac but with the ugly canyon/colorado 'too tall' bed slapped on the back.

The Gladiator is a great looking truck, I doubt it'll get put into production so the PU conversion for a wrangler looks like the closest option - and looks really cool also.

I'll just keep the rear seat folded down on my XJ and pretend it's a PU w. a cap.

Holy crap. Hummer has just accomplished the ability to drive through 1/2" of snow! That video of it is like, awesome. I mean, 1/2" of snow? A jeep can't even do that!

Oh and a open-air automatic top! Woohoo!! Liberty anyone?

The 2008 Jeep Wrangler is not so much an SUV as it is an experience. It's slow and loud, handles poorly, has crummy interior materials and features doors that provide virtually no crash protection. But when it comes to off-road performance, the Wrangler is simply the best choice available.

is it me or did that guy consider engine breaking a "feature"? Seemed like he was pressed over how 1st gear moves slower, I wish other trucks did that

Well at least its got aluminum and carbon fiber skidplates, you have all the protection you need! Yea, have fun with that torsion bar/SLA suspension up front too.

Hemi in a Wrangler

There is an outfit some where in the Minniapolis Mn area that installs Hemi crate motors in new Wranglers. I saw one being sold on e-bay some time back. Have to do some digging to find the name of the company. So it can be done!!!!!

Remember guys... before Jeep had competition from Hummer, Wranglers came with tiny tires, low ground clearance, and Dana 35c axles. Thank GM for forcing Chrysler to step up to the plate.

I like the look of that Gladiator. I still think that Jeep needs to get a clue and go forward with the Gladiator design. Maybe even make a slightly longer Quad Cab version.

When Chrysler/Jeep look at building a new Jeep truck, they must look at price point and volume and then guess. What dose the customer want, and what can he afford , and how much capital can we make and what can we build ? So what I see driving out
of this smoke is a stretched wrangler 4 door , picture a wrangler unlimited with its cab extend by less than a foot behind its back seat and the truck bed lengthen less than 4 feet and reinforced as needed for a truck. Well this is just my guess, but i think it all starts with the customer wants ,price and volume that can be sold and how much money Chrysler/Jeep can make . Maybe the members will complete this picture?

Note: This may look like a Hummer H3TA as a Dodge truck looks like a Chev. But i think Jeep could do something like this
And make $ money,( I don't build Jeeps like some members on here, maybe they will commit.
