I'm pretty new to jeeps, but this rumor is as tired as the jeep pickup truck cryco is revealing next week, or month, or decade, etc...I'll believe it when I see is on the lot. And then I will pay for it

No Thanks! I would pay extra Not to have a Diesel,No advantage for Me at all,I could care less about mpg, diesel maintence is more costly over all in most cases, fuel costs more & is some what harder to find,Horsepower is usually less, diesel does have a torque advantage, smelly & noisy in most cases,Just not enough positives for Me.

Yes maintenance is more but they have longer service intervals not for sure why u can't find diesel just about at every gas station and if u are offroaded why wouldn't u want a diesel torque is what u want not hp

Even though I hate independent suspension incredibly on jeep's because in my eyes and others i believe it makes them glorified soccermom mobiles, but a diesel grand cherokee was a good idea on the previous grand cherokee except all the reviews I saw it was getting pathetic gas mileage for something smaller than a full size full frame truck, even if it were in a full size truck, last time i checked other than torque gas mileage is the biggest reason to get a diesel, the towing capacity should also be higher on a diesel, and I heard the wrangler was getting the pentastar this or next year??? did fiat change that???
