this is just unfair.

you want to know the ONE reason i am not in a wrangler unlimited right now? the HORRID gas milage. id be at the jeep dealer yesterday signing the papers if we could get this motor, no lie.

my girlfriend has the liberty with the 3.7 and it drinks fuel. we do alot of driving in it and i have to fill it up every other day. hurts my wallet for sure.

her father owns a wrangler unlimited with the 3.8 and he doesnt even drive it because it costs too much!

JEEP wake up and give me something i can drive!!!!!

237hp n 406tq, Hmm . . . So with a 5 or 6spd manual transmission and a set of 4.10 gears this thing really be a beast . . . I like the automatic's don't get me wrong, but once i got to compare a diesel manual to a diesel automatic i won't be buying any diesels with self shifting transmissions

22/32 mpg in the Grand cherokee, Imagine what it could do in a JK-8 kit truck

Jeep JK-8 kit truck:
3.0-CRD / 5 ro 6spd / 4.10's / 33's The truck would be a beast I could get prolly 25mpg while towing up to a 5K-LB load

Sorry Jeep SUV guys no disrespect i just love my Jeep trucks
Mike

Bossladys MiniVan has a 3.3L with almost 200K miles on it and that gets 19-23mpg, and a tank goes about 350-450 miles depending on traffic . . . I would of figured the more modern 3.7/3.8 V6's would be more efficient ? ! ? ! ? Small fuel tank ? ! ? ! ?

My Comanche gets 14-16mpg I can do a lil running around town and drive from WI to IL and back on a tank . . . Tis why I like AMC era Jeep's . . .

You must drive A LOT ? ? ? or them MiniVan V6 Jeeps of Chrysler's get lousy mileage ? ? ?

Costs me about 150 a week give or take and I don't drive that much. We have had the car since october of 09 and have about 24xxx on the OD. The 3.7 is just a pig IMO.

Yea something is deffinately off there, Has the dealer looked at it ? I have put about 30K-Miles on my Comanche since i bought it (17?K-201K-miles) i averaged about $90-$110/Wk in fuel and that thing only gets about 15mpg . . . it floats between 14-16mpg average on a tank

so if your only getting about what i am for MPG on some thing 20+ yrs newer something has to be a miss . . . If NOT then yep its fuel hawg

I'm used to 6-9mpg rig's so a 15mpg run about is like a honda or toyota to me

You want a diesel Wrangler, I want a Wrangler pickup truck
Chrysler should combine the 2 a build a Wrangler pickup with a diesel

well we can beg and plea.. ahem i mean wish

if they offered the gladiator concept with the CRD engine with rubicon running gears and axles i think you would have a real winner on your hands.. (not a real fan of the nukizer concept for a production model)

Yeah I feel dumb now because I didn't think about that before I said it. What I meant was in europe a lot of the small diesel cars have problems with injectors and wind up costing huge amounts of money to get new injectors. It may be the smaller engines built for quietness and/or bad design and/or emissions. It was a while back on a british forum I read that but I think it's now b.s.

Now that I remember it the forum had a bad rep on other forums for bashing diesels so it's not that credible I guess

And don't forget to sign the petition and spread the word
