4WD Cherokee's delayed?

With work on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee’s innovative and complex 4×4 system still reportedly ongoing, one observer now expects the first Cherokees to be front wheel drive (FWD) models.

Now there's a vote of confidence.

It could at least be rwd if it is gunna be 4x4...but that's a shame because I am soooo excited for the new Cherokee!

The article is completely false. If it were published a few months ago it wold be true, but they have the bugs worked out of the 4 wheel drive.

Essentially without saying too much they found a scapegoat to blame for their problems, from what I hear they are having issues with the powernet network in the vehicle, essentially the communication between everything.

Allpar says that the KL Cherokee was first scheduled to come out May 24th.
Then there was the first delay.
Now there is a second one.

First shown in April at the New York Auto Show, the Jeep Cherokee was set to be in dealers at about this time. It was pushed back at least once, and now it appears that, due to at least two heat dispersion issues, the mid-sized SUV will start production around August.

If there is a silver lining this will give the engine and transmission plants time to build up supply. Unless the two heat dispersion issues are the engine and the transmission.
