Not a fan of the new bumpers shown in the video. And at 56 seconds, the dashboard looks the same.

It looks like the bumper doesn't actually project any further, they just decided to close in the space on the front of it instead of having the projections of the older models. It doesn't strike me as bad so much as odd.

hrm... After thinking about it for a bit I wonder if that has anything to do with increasing the 'crumple zone' for safety ratings or something.

Thats not the new wrangler bumper. Thats a Euro Wrangler, the bumpers have looked like that in Europe since they redesigned it in 07.

I am unhappy with the JK. Too much like a car. Still looks nice and like a Wrangler, but for how long?? Why can't Jeep actually create vehicles that truly represent their latest commercial. Great commercial....until the end. Bring back the true Cherokee. Bring back the wrangler. I have an 08 Unlimited. Nice, some love, but not true love like I have for my 77 CJ5 and 02 TJ. I can see trading in my JK in the future without heartache. But I will never sell my CJ5 or TJ.
I live in Jeep country but I would not go off road with my JK.
How about a 2011 bare bones remake of the TJ or YJ for a max price of $15K for all of us to build on?
IF this "trend" continues. I will start looking at the FJ and Jeep will loose me as a returning costumer or forget about another brand new Wrangler.

I just came back from a USNSCC training at fort custer and an Army srgt. took me wheeling in a humvee at some of the trails back there. Grant it, he didnt do anything hardcore and the ride wasn't comfortable, but he did plow through this like tree/bush that was in the trail with no damage! If I were to get anything besides a jeep, it would be a humvee as soon as the military gets rid of them. When they do, they are going to sell them for $1000 a piece and I know this for a fact because the srgt told me up in Lansing, Michigan their selling 5 ton trucks for that same price because they just got decommissioned.

I don't understand you argument/complaint. You won't take the more capable (stock) JK offroad because it is too nice, but then you buy a more expensive and less capable FJ to replace it?? You own an Unlimited which cost more than the 2 doors. Why not buy a 2 door like the TJ/CJ, get closer to that $15K your looking for?? And there is no non-car out there for less than $15K, a base Ranger (4cyl. 2wd. 5-speed) is $17,000, a base 2 door Wrangler (4wd. V6 6-speed) at $21,000 is a great deal for all that you get. What do you mean by a "bare bones remake," there is nothing on my Wrangler that could not be had on a 02, except maybe the D44 and stock 32 inch mud terrains.

2011 Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited pictures leaked!

You can see them on The Toledo Blade's Web site.

Yeah, the hard tops are now available in body color, and they closed the ugly gap between the bumper and the fender (that's the more aerodynamic exterior).

Not sure why there are still people hating on the JK... You really hate cleaner styling that much? What exactly is so hateful about a slanted grill? Do you hate all vehicles with angled grills?

If they want to update the JK with a "more aerodynamic exterior", then they need a hard fastback top with built-in, underneath panel storage! If they cared at all about their Wrangler customers, another improvement they would make would be WATERPROOF seats and dash.

I have three jeeps. A 77 CJ5, 02 TJ AND the JK. I did not complain about the cost. In fact I am considering one more Jeep. Jeep is a very good deal for all that you get sure. But I like the I-6 more. Sure I would take the JK off road but it is more of a family car than a Jeep. I have had problems with the JK and thank GOD it was all under warranty. My other two are fine. Give it a few more years (I truly hope not) and Jeep will come out with another Wrangler that is another half step away from the Wrangler we all love. I enjoy the unlimited, use it off road, my two large dogs fit, etc. Would I trade the JK in the future sure. My TJ or CJ5 never. That's the difference. My concern is the future of purchasing a new Jeep that is possible further away from a 4X4.
What I meant by a "bare bones remake" is just a suggestion for Jeep to offer customers like myself (or any one like a young adult just starting out who would rather have his or her own Jeep that does not have 200k miles on it or $21K) an opportunity to buy a TJ or older style for a suggested retail cost of $15K AS an example that does not have air conditioning that is a 5 or 6 speed, roll up windows, etc. Then that person can build from there. Or not. I would buy two one to build on and one to be a daily driver. Yes I have seen only two that was very basic in a 2010 JK but it does not make me want to sell my kidney to buy one.
Just thinking about the future.
My brother-in-law has an FJ and is happier with that than a Jeep.
Ranger? does not interest me especially for $17K
