Ventilated Front Seats is the smartest thing I have seen in a long time. I saw in PopSci once that if your vehicle has ventilated front seats you can reduce the amount of gas being use for A/C by 90%.
Air Suspension sounds nice too. I also think the Commander is going to be dropped if they make a 7PASS version of the GC.

The problem with the air suspension is when you decide to do a lift, which is why Jeep didn't jump on that bandwagon years ago when GM started doing it. It's nice to have the option, though. According to all of the inside info buzz, the Commander will not make it past 2010. All of the Auto sites state that it has been dropped.

Has anyone actually read this restructuring plan?
It's absolutely NUTS. Chrysler is dead in the water. "An Orderly Wind Down will result in significant social impact, with 300,000 jobs lost at Chrysler and its suppliers and over 3,300 dealers failing. 2-3 million jobs could be lost due to a follow-on collapse in the wider industry, resulting in a $150 billion reduction in U.S. Government revenue over 3 years (Page 163)." Thanks for that, Joe! It seems like this may be a good setup because ZF axles are known for being sturdy and there would be better clearance, but independent suspensions are more expensive to lift, so I'm torn.

It has the proportions of a minivan, and the independent suspension to match.

ZF probably got the nod for the axles because too many customers were complaining about the "normal for Dana" axle clunk. Hard to market a SUV as luxury when it comes with extra noises.

Ugh .. the rear of it just looks like one of those lexus trucks .. I don't know about you guys but I like driving my WJ and actually feeling like I'm driving a truck .. I hate that looks like a truck but rides like a car crap. I got 3 cars at my house, if I wanted to feel like I was driving a car, I wouldn't have bought a jeep.

I dunno...looks closer to my WJ than the WK...
I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt until we see more of it in April at the New York Auto Show. ![]()

Some more images from leftlanenews.com. Looks like they were running without the bumpers for some reason. (Maybe these are the off-road bumpers??
)The IRS setup is more visible in these pics: Link: http://www.leftlanenews.com/jeep-grand-cherokee-2010.html
