Yet another hood vent picture post...
So I cut the hood in the budget manche and installed a set of LaBarron hood vents.
I cut them with the hood still on the vehical this time as compared to last time (http://jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=396779) when I took it off. I measured off my XJ and make the lines and simply cut. They turned out pretty good I'd say for having the project done in 1 hour of work time. Just feel like being a pic whore... ![]() ![]()

Lead do you think the hood vents make a substantial difference in the temp your XJ or chammanche run?

Actually I talked with the owner prior and he has no issues with it. He's been stopping by every time I'm out working on it and checking progress and chatting. He just sold his CJ5 and I think he's itching to get back into Jeeps. ![]() |

In theory giving the heat a quick exit will help keep the under hood temps down. This in turn will help keep the air box, intake, and TB cooler. It will also help keep the paint on the hood good longer.

So, no one has noticed any measurable temp difference in the operating temp of the motor? How about while wheeling in 4LO with the rpm's up...any noticable difference then?
