yea yea another tire thread.

So Im going to lift my xj 3" because my rear springs are dead. This is my daily driver so its not going to see much offroad. I was thinking of going 32's on 4" BS (soft 8s)

The question is: Should I get 32x11.5's that measure 31 actual, or 33x12.5 that measure 32 actual.

I always hear 3" fits 31s great, but is that 31" a tire that is 30.3 or 31 actual?

I think you should ask yourself how much power your are willing to give away for your daily driver. Every inch you add (without regearing) is going to make your rig progressively more of a dog. As in most of life, moderation is the key.
