XXL-XJ is closer to being back...

After the flop over, I have made a lot of changes to the XJ. I went waggy 44 front, locked AMC FW 20 rear, 1/4 angle sub frame, custom long arm, 1 ton steering, tube crossmembers, 4.88 gears, warn locking hubs, and a whole lot more little stuff...

Now it has been time for the body work stuff. I went new doors, new fenders, custom diamond plate quarters, blacking out all the chrome and going with a flat army green paint. Here is how it looks so far:

Yes, I know I have to cut out the gas door and yes, I am going back with the LED taillights.

I think it looks killer. Only thing I would've tried was to get black diamond plate.

Here are some pics of the subframe, new seats, and the test run after we got the suspension buckled up.

Ok, I got the hint! I grabbed the self-etching primer and got rid of the bright alum diamond plate and painted it black... I was going to do it anyhow but I was going to wait until I cut the gas door in. Oh well I have more paint, I can redo it later!
