XJ (sort of)- Ford driveshaft question

I'll make this short and simple (tired, stepdad just died, can't stop thinking about things).

I had a XJ, used the drivetrain in another vehicle (plus the rear axle and all the other parts...it's an AMC Eagle, the XJ's father, the firewalls are identical... but that's another story)

Anyways, I've come across an issue. The rear driveshaft has to be 39" long and I've found that the Ford Expedition driveshaft is almost the perfect length. Would I be correct in thinking that a 1310 ujoint will allow me to adapt the Expedition driveshaft the Jeep t-case and rear axle yolks?

Also need a 29" front driveshaft. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd have to do a little googling on the rear DS question, but that sounds right based on what I was reading for my 8.8 swap. I know I've seen a 29" stock shaft recently. it was either the front shaft for the pre-2000 XJ's that had the HP30 (the higher pinion's closer to the TC, thus shorter) or it's the ZJ's that had a long-pinioned D30. Worth checking parts lists.

Searching for yourself is the way to find the answers you are looking for. You are not proposing a common swap so don't expect much input.

Here's a handy dandy link EVERY Jeep owner should tuck away to compare DS styles, types of joints, size of joints, and where to find them. It's a bit dated, but then again so are XJ's.

Sounds like you should find a ZJ front DS from an Automatic. I run one front and rear and carry a common spare at ~5" front and rear. Usually picked up for ~$50 in part outs, I just picked one up off the classifieds here for $60 shipped.

Sorry but I've been a bit distracted with a few things and won't have a lot of time for Internet fun.
