No way you've even looked at it if you're asking this question.

My build thread has pics again. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f177/kevin108s-2000-xj-build-867428/

it is VERY simple to remove and install the "bench" seat in the cherokees, pull up on the tab on either side of the seat and reach down on the (i think) drivers side of the seat where the pivot point is and pull/push the tab/finger handle, lift the seat and pull it out. "Reinstall" is just the opposite.

He has a valid point. Why would you post a question when you haven't even looked how the seat works?

I just removed mine 2 weeks ago and its a 5 minute job.

He does have a bit of a point. If you'd have investigated on your own first, there's no way you wouldn't have figured it out. Oh well, it's no biggie to me. At least you're not asking what the biggest/best tires you can run are, how to improve power/mpg, or what to do to make your headlights better (hint: there are a bazillion threads on these topics already).

5 minutes? Try 15 seconds (to remove just the seat and leave the back). Open latch on passenger (driver? whatever--one of them--it's obvious) hinge and pull seat out through door. Done.

If you really want to go nuts running your XJ as a two-seater, there are quite a few guys out there who've fabbed some amazing cargo area racks/organizers if that sort of thing interests you. Enjoy!

Homemade stuff with shelving, dividers, drawers, you name it.

This isn't so much an organizer but it is one of the cargo mods I've seen that I thought was pretty well-done. CLICK HERE

Lots of well-made and not so well-made cargo ideas through THIS thread actually.

I think that's a euro spec Cherokee cargo version.

If its stock it sucks and if it scares the hell outta ya its just about right!

LOL, I clicked on this thread because I thought I must have read the title wrong but NOPE.

I believe its a 15mm socket but a ratcheting wrench works best and you just KEEP TURNING LEFT and do it TWICE

Protip: the bolts are on either side of the bench and do a barrel roll

Really? You have to wrench bolts? Maybe the benches got easier at some point after 92 because I have a latch on one hinge that uncouples it, and the other hinge is just a rod that slides out as you pull from the latch side. No tools involved and takes seconds.

Woah, my reading comprehension is terrible, he needed instructions for the seat BOTTOM? God have mercy on his soul.
