Chrysler/Jeep parts have always proven to me to be be the best quality parts and they fit perfectly. No matter who makes them, they have to be built to JEEP standards and specifications.

Every Crown Automotive and OmixAda part I have bought has had a crappy fit, been poorly constructed, and has quickly worn out. I do not buy any parts from Advance/IdiotZone/O'Reilly's either. NAPA parts are nearly as good a OEM.

Cheap parts are cheap for a reason. Quadratec is always overpriced, even for the exact same part from somewhere else.

You aren't going to find better quality than MORE, Browndog or Ironman if you are looking for something stronger than stock style mounts. If you're only issue with running Browndog mounts is that they're yellow, a can of black spray paint should be able to correct that in about 5 minutes.

As for the transmission mount, looks like Rock Auto has them for under 20 bucks. I think I got mine from www.teamcherokee.com but its been a while now. Went in without issue though.

I've got Ironman mounts in mine, so I can't comment directly on the MORE or Browndog mounts. I can say that my Ironman mounts bolted right up to the body side without issue, but I had to grind a small section of the motor side bracket down, which took a grand total of about 5 minutes. There was what appeared to be a casting line that interfered slightly with the poly bushing, but again, about 5 minutes with a flapper disc on the angle grinder and no more issue.

Edit to add:
Just went and looked at Brown Dog and MORE again...

The Brown Dog mounts explicitly state that you won't need to modify anything, and their pictures support that (the bushing has a different shape on one side). They are cheaper than the MORE mounts. They are rubber, and there are tons of people who run them. I think if I were in your position it would come down to whether or not the extra expense is worth the upgraded mounts or not. As long as you don't let the factory mounts fall apart, they will probably be fine. But there's no denying that the aftermarket motor mounts are stronger.

HTH.

I will be using OEM JEEP motor mounts when the time comes. They will fit perfectly and last as long as the originals.

There are a number of on-line JEEP parts departments that sell genuine JEEP parts for 30% off the retail price. I only want to install motor mounts once, so they will be genuine JEEP motor mounts.

I have MOREs and am very pleased. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

I've used Anchor mounts before, It was on a '86 with a 2.8l But they fit perfectly and looked exactly like the OEM mounts.

On my '98 I am running brown dog, Simple bolt in. No problems. (Although I need to do the transmission mount still....)

I have the Brown Dogs in mine I got the poly bushings in mine and regret the decision as they vibrate horribly at low rpm. Mine went in with out issue. I would recommend them but I would just go with a stock replacement in your position.

Teamcherokee.com has the trans mount, OE Rubber, for $35. They do not list rubber motor mounts, only poly. Why do you not want poly (besides price)?

Lots of places have rubber motor mounts for the '94 in the $15 to $30 range (2001 mounts are more expensive). If you're not going to over build, why sweat a $15 part?? As long as it LOOKS the same, it will probably fit (YMMV).

med, Contact brown dog and ask for rubber!! (also Have you replaced your transmission mount?)

Poly is not wanted on a cherokee because it transmits more vibration into the chassis / uni-frame. While poly on the other hand might be a great choice for a TJ or some sort of rock / mud buggies.

I have the Brown Dog rubber ones in mine. Vibration is a bit higher at idle than the OEM ones, but they are better constructed, and with the heat here in AZ, rubber stuff flakes out quick.

Any Jeep dealer MUST sell factory Mopar parts if available and if requested by the customer. If they are not Mopar, they won't come with the Mopar part number and/or markings on the part. Mopar can be made by the original supplier(s), or any AUTHORIZED replacement supplier who makes them to the EXACT specifications for the original Mopar part.

To sum up the above paragraph, motor mounts from any Jeep dealer will fit and work just like new.

You need to get over your fear of having to use a drill or a grinder. Man, you own 2 jeeps, better get used to those things
