XJ Heater Core Replacement

Hi all!!

Been looking around here for a while, really good site!!

I've had 3 XJs in my time only recently purchasing the third one, a 1998 2.5 Petrol Sport.

Very sound neat car but with one problem, when I bought it the heater core was 'looped out' so i flushed it and re-connected it and after turning the heat on it just blew lots of steam into the cabin!! Disconnected again and ordered a replacement heater core from the local main dealer.

Spent about 3 hours yesterdy doing a trial dismantle of the dash, and I can see now why the garage reckoned it was going to take them a long time!!

Are there any talk throughs posted for how to do this process anywhere on the net? A bit of guideanc from those in the know how will be helpful!!
