XJ groans when turning after driving for a while

So I have noticed that my XJ groans when i turn in any direction after i have driven it a while.

It is quiet when it is cold but when the axles has warmed up it starts to groan as soon as i turn.
At first i thought it was the rear brakes being wierd but then it would make that noise when i brake going in a straight line, but it was quiet when i tested that.

Can it be the LSD that is starting to act up in the rear axle?
Last time i changed the oil in it i used a full bottle of the LSD additive and the gearoil had it already mixed in it.
Do i need to add more?
Or is it just the sounds of a D35 that is about to explode?

It is so loud when it groans so it scares anyone that happen to be within 15 meters from me.

Noone has an idea of what it can be?

It only happens at sharp turns, like at an intersection or when i am driving in a parkinglot trying to find a parkingspace.
Then when i reverse out of the space and turns it does the same sound again.
It never sounds like that when i just follow the road.

I have checked to see if the drums gets to hot but they are normal.
However i do know that there are not much left on the brakeshoes in them and i am going to replace them soon.
Can really worn out brakeshoes cause wierd noises when turning?

Well, are you SURE it's in the rear?
You've had someone else drive it and walked along side and verified it's not the front (or middle)?
Sometimes sounds play tricks when you hear them from the drivers seat...

Have you jacked up the rear end and looked for play where there shouldn't be, or spun the wheels to see if the bearings are happy?
Unfortunately I don't know anything about the factory LS...

I'd ask this too. The only thing I can think of that "groans"...especially when turning...would be the P/S pump. Checked your fluid level lately?
Color/condition of fluid good?

I have not had another drive it when I walk next to it. If it was the powersteering pump wouldent it make the same noise when standing drive and turning the wheels ?

Not necessarily, the pump itself is really only performing (and under strain) when you are turning. If you turn the wheel all the way one direction or another while stopped, do you get any sound?

I assume by standing drive you mean moving in a straight line?

I meant standing still, got autocorrected and did not notice it untill you pointed it out.
Sorry about that.

The last time i changed the oil was probably about 3 years ago i have only driven 30,000km,s with it since then.
The PS fluid looks and smells ok, the level is ok to.
I am going to see if i can get a video of the sound it makes.

Too much LSD additive can shorten the working life of the oil. I would drain it and refill with a bottle of LSD additive and normal gear oil without the additive in it.

It's called autocorrect. Maybe autocorrupt would be more accurate!
