Great job on the crossmember. Do you still have the dimensions from when you cut it out? How the hell did you get your bends so precise?

Sorry dude! Just saw the post. I don't have the dimensions but I will be doing a revision soon so I can get them now. The bends were easy. Basically, I just notched it and threw it in a vise. Bent it by hand until I was happy.

So how do you feel about that trans mount now that you've run this for a while? I am debating still between this and the way SFRautomotive made his mounts. I'm thinking I should get it as low as possible being at 4.5" (and maybe more someday).

As low as possible Do you mean as high as possible? You really never want to drop the t-case, if you get driveline problems it's a caster- and pinon angle issue, not a TC being too high

Flat belly is the way to go

Yes, down as in transfer case to crossmember relation. It won't be dropped really, since the new crossmember is actually pushing it up from stock location. I was just wondering if he has had any issues with his mount that way.

Haha I've got all kinds of current angle problems, trust me.

I have had issues with the trans mount being as high as it was. Actually, yesterday I have started another round of mods to the cross member. Stay tuned for pics of my flat cross member V2.0

Cool! It's a lot if work, but well worth it if you can get it right. I think I may have to clock my t case this time though.

Your idea inspired us for this for our 4" lowered street jeep, 'becauseracejeep'. Gained like 2" of ground clearance. It is 2WD auto.

So I finally put that IRO jig to good use and clocked the base. Trying to fix the contact of the fan to the pulleys, I hacked the ***** out of the skid (no pics of that yet) and will beef it up a little too. Hopefully I'll have it complete this Friday.

Cut that useless piece off the case...
