A) It is definitely glued.
B) If you are trying to remove an existing one without breaking it, the "L" shaped knife is NOT the way to go (I suggest trying the piano wire style). C) Personally, unless you are removing the windshield to do some work (i.e. rust repair or something), I would just pay a windshield repair place to do it for you. They will have the 1-5 trim clips you will inevitably break.

I dont have the cash to pay someone. And im replacing it cuz it was kicked in. Where are the trim clips your talking about? you mean for the molding on the outside of the window?

Yes... the chrome molding (I believe yours is chrome) that comes off in 5 pieces. If you break the little clips when you are removing the molding with a screwdriver instead of the proper tool, then you need to replace them. I never could find a place to buy them individually, but I did find a box of 100 or so (which is nice because you should only need like 15 for the whole windshield).
If your windshield is already kicked in, use whatever you want to remove it.... no harm no foul.

I work for a dealer, and when they remove the old windshileds out of the cars here, they actually use a sawzall with and "Z" shaped balde to fit around the pillar, if you look on ebay or something on the net you should find something that may work.. What part of schuylkill r u from? I assume skook is schuylkill.. I grew up in the Minersville area.. fellow coal cracker..

well last time i did a trashed windshield was in my monte carlo. (someone hit it with a rock beffore i could take it of the P/O property.) i decided just kicking it out would be the easiest way , yea right , this time ill stick too keeping it relatively in one piece..
The only reason im doing it is because im trading it for a 97 Jetta GLS 5 speed... id love to keep the jeep but im tired of messing with it , im jsut gunna wait and save for a post 97 xj ![]() anyone wanna buy it?

It runs and drives , needs the parts i have for it installed and a windshield to be inspected. if i do it all and get it inspected im going to want more for it. i just got offered a 2001 Buick. i may be going that route.
