Winch bumper and winch or Dual ARB's
i was just thinking about something well playin on the puter..
what do you guys that actually wheel think would be a better option. Winch bumper and winch or F&B ARB's with stockbumper and hooks? i know the winch would be good for self recovering but would F&B arbs keep you out of trouble enough?

Guess it all depends on how much ya go out and wheel it and what not, if your wheelin a bit id go with the winch/winch bumper but if not the ARB bumpers look purrty dang good.

i chose locked front and rear with some inexpensive recovery points before winch bumper and winch.
mainly because 98% of the time i go wheeling there is always someone else with a winch to help me out if i do need it.

A winch is a huge help no doubt, however for most wheeling, having another vehicle with you is most important. If you're wheeling to the point that you're getting stuck with open diffs, then another vehicle will almost always be able to easily pull you out.
I would go with lockers over the winch/winch bumper as mentioned above any day. It's more fun to work your way through the trails then to stop every 10 mins and pull yourself out. Plus again, you shouldn't be wheeling alone to begin with, so that other vehicle is your winch.

Like everybody else has said I'd go with lockers. They should eliminate alot of the trouble you might get yourself into. Thats actually my next step too

In the last 5 yrs I've only used my winch maybe 6 or 7 times. Its almost always easier and quicker to have someone yank you off an obstacle with a strap. Using a winch takes a lot of time, and usually there is not a tree or suitable anchor in the right place anyway.
