Why not just get a longer driveshaft instead of SYE/CV?

Ok ive been thinking about this. Why not just get a longer driveshaft (regular kind), like whats on there now instead of an SYE and CV shaft? I guess i dont see why its needed. If lifting it makes the shaft too short and it pulls the slip yoke too far out, couldnt you solve that by getting your driveshaft lengthened or getting a new longer one? Is it a cost thing? I would think just getting a driveshaft lengthened would be cheaper than an SYE and CV driveshaft. Im sure this has been posted before, but i couldnt find it. And im sure theres a simple answer, but i cannot come up with any.

In addition to adding length to the rear driveline, lifts change the angles involved.

the angles on the Ujoints would still be pretty bad, making them bind. by putting an SYE on, you've got a longer distance between the rear axle and the transfer case, which decreases the angle.

Also, having the slip yoke style output shaft (stock style) the shaft is whats doing all the range of movement, not the driveshaft. What the SYE and cv shaft does is to fix the output shaft and the cv joint does all the movement.
