Wheels for the 98

Any reason these wouldn't work on my 98?

Thoughts?

they should work fine. the TJ is the same lug pattern as the XJ, with possibly a little more width and backspacing, neither of which should impede usability.

I used wheels off a TJ and my 31x10.5's rubbed on the leafs and wheel wells. Had to put on spacers as well.

They will work, but they have alot of back spacing so you need wheel spacers to run a wider tire. You will rub on control arms and leafs.

Thanks for the info. Are spacers really a good idea?

If they are a good quality and are mantained then they are ok.

TJ wheels = XJ wheels for the most part. I run Eccos (ebay link) with my 31s and would rub the LCAs if I didn't adjust my bumpstops. Adjust your stops dudes.

These wheels are going to be the same as if you used the stock xj wheel meaning they wont be too bad with 31s. They may rub a little, but you better hurry and buy them because they are absolutely gorgeous and I might buy them myself. haha

Oh by the way I undersatnd they arent 31s on the wheels I just though you may be going that direction. After 5 inches of lift youre probably gonna want 32s or 33s and at that time these wheeel may need a spacer. The spacers in theory are weaker than no spacer but I have yet to hear of one failing.

Of course you are right, I'm looking at 31's now. Who can tell later...
