You're right, it's unbeliaveble how so many people don't edit their pics at all before publishing them on the internet. 800x600 or 1024x768 is the best for web- publishing, with a decent picture quality you can easily squeeze them to around 100-200k size.

But Dial- up connections.. someone still uses them?!

Yeah, like two days before that we had 6 jeeps including mine and only 3 made it to the top. The three at the bottom were in the 2-3" range all had 31" BF A/T's. I posted those up on the site showing the near stock ford at the top on bald 31's and the guys seemed pretty pissed. I think its pretty funny though considering I own one of the jeeps that made it all the way up.
