Wheel Polish/Repair centers--Chrome the stockers??

What are some good companies which repair wheels and can polish them.
And what about about Chroming them?
I have the original wheels on my jeep, the thick 5spoke. I was wondering if those companies would be able to chrome plate them or polish them? as well as repair the wheels?

You'll be shocked at how much a shop will charge you to polish them out. Those wheels are aluminum and clear coated. The clear coat would hav eto be removed, the wheel smoothed out, and then polished.

The cost of chroming would be higher than the polishing. To chrome you'd have to do the same as polishing then chrome it.

Call around, and for the price you could probably buy new aftermarket rims and get the tires installed cheaper than if you had them done at a shop. Check Ebay as well, they tend to have clean sets every now and then.

yeah if you are going to invest any money in your wheels you would be better off to go with aftermarket, and you will probably be much happier.

Get aftermarket, they are pretty cheap and look better anyway.

a cut polisher? for car paint. Take you years to polish, have a better chance of the rain polishing them.

Under the paint its all bumpy, that would have to be "buffed" to a shine.
I use buff lightly cause its more of grinding.

it takes a long time, and isnt cheap, 100 or more a whille.
chroming would be about the same.

Not to mention, you ever clean polished and or chrome wheels? its a full time job.

Which steelies? Here are some from Quadratec. Always check local stores first though, shipping isn't that cheap.
