What's your favorite oil?!?!

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but I am new to the jeep world so I need to your opinions. I have been running mobil 1 synthetic in my Saab with a bottle of AMSOIL engine flush every 4,000-5,000 miles. That was the magic formula for that car, but what should I run in my 97 XJ with 83,000 miles (I always liked pennzoil high mileage in my Pathfinder)? And, are there any good additives (lucas, amsoil, etc.) that you would reccommend with every oil change? Oh, and what interval...3,000? THANKS.

I have been running mobil 1 since 90k at a 5000 mile interval. I haven't had any issues with it.

I've been using Castrol High Milage for a little over 40k miles so far, and it seems to do well. Before that, I was using regular Castrol. I currently have 133K miles. I have to admit I haven't used anything else, so I can't say Castrol is better than any other brand. It was just the first oil I started using and it hasn't given me any problems, so that's why I've never switched. I'm pretty sure there was a thread on here about this topic that had a link to some website that actually had test results for different kinds of oil brands. Do a search and maybe you'll find it.

EDIT: Oh, and I rigorously follow the "3k miles or 3 months, whichever comes first" plan.

Hash oil

...but for the engine, I use Quaker State...I know many people say it leaves heavy deposits on your engine, but mine has 230,000 on it, so it can't be THAT bad

I change my oil once at the start of summer, and once at the start of winter... I do this to only to change the weight (10 for summer, 5 for winter)

My family has always changed their oil at 20-30k intervals and never had a problem... most vehicles we have make it over 300k before we sell them, or trade them in.

Ive switched alot. Used to be Shell, then whatever Napa's main brand is, then Pennzoil High Mileage, then good old Castrol GTX. Ive concluded as long as its the right weight, the 4.0 doesnt care what you feed it... haha.
