A rough country long arm would be niccceee.

I have a 4.5 Rubicon express on my 95, works well, nothing to brag about. No driveline vibes, and no mods to the driveline.

Have a 4.5 Procomp lift on my 92. arms are well built, it felxs ok but not as nice as the RE lift. again, no driveline vibes.

In this day and age I suggest the rough country kit (long or short arm) best bang per buck

I have the rusty's 4.5. I'm around $600 or $700 but I'm very satisfied. Handles well.

The rough country long-arm kit is the best bang for your buck as mentioned above. Going to 4.5" with short-arms will make your ride a lot stiffer because of the control arm angles. The long-arms will ride better and flex a lot better too. With the 96 model you will likely have some vibrations at that height. Some get by with a t-case drop where others have to have the SYE/cv driveshaft. Some of this depends on which drivetrain you have The AW4 transmission (4 speed auto), the 242 t-case, and the 8.25 rear end are the longest components which means a shorter driveshaft and worse driveline angles. The 5 speed, 231 t-case, and d35 rear end are the shorter components. Depending on which combination you have you may need the SYE. The 96-up models also have a different type of output on the t-case which is more prone to vibrations after lifting.

Im getting the RC 4.5" Full leafs.. and I did some research and its not bad price.
best if you have a dealer locally. and buy from them

but You may have to get the SYE,
im hoping i dont.. :/

I have the rc 4.5 full leaf on my 89. its a good product. only thing i would change would be adding the LCA drop brackets, give it a bit smoother ride.

use existing trac bar, but you drill a new hole 3/4" to the driver side (axle mount).

essentially its the "old school" way of fixing control arm angles, but now adays its almost cheaper to buy a long arm kit than to buy adjustable short arms AND lca drop brackets. Believe me, I did the math  Im going to get the Rough country long arm to smooth out my ride.

lca drop brackets: Moves the mounting location of the control arms farther down therefore brings angles of control arms closer to stock after a lift.

The best kit is one you build yourself. I had bad luck with RC leafs and RE as well. If I were to do it again I would piece it together with different brand parts I wanted

i got the 4.5 rc full pack lift about three years ago and its pretty nice a little rough though but not a hard fix. the kits they have today have come a long way it makes me jealous, they are very complete with great quality. also i have a 96 and it had no vibrations.
