The color code is listed on the white info tag on your drivers door. The code can be Googled or you can find the paint color name at www.paintscratch.com

You local autobody supply shop can mix you any quantity of paint using the color code.

Well, whatever color they were in '95, they aren't that now. I've had pretty good luck getting the local autoparts/autopaint store to use their paint-matching device to match my 16 y/o green paint. They'll mix up a spray can pretty reasonably. Just a thought.

Jeep had two greens in 96, and I think in 95 too. The most common was Forest Green and the other was Emerald Green Pearl Metallic which is the color of my XJ. The paint code is your best bet to get the right color.

So why is the paint code the best for a match? Obviously after 16 years in the weather the rest of the vehicle will be a different color than a body panel newly painted with the original color.

IDK what the paint/sq in formula is? IIRC the last color-matched spray can I bought was like $12.95. That did several coats on my headlight bezel, my rear wind deflector and a couple of patch areas. If you got it mixed to spray I imagine it might be less.

if i had the time and the money, i would paint my entire jeep a flat tan or flat forest green color (not glossy, much like military vehicles)

It should not cost much at all the local paint supply stores will mix you a couple cans for around $14 a piece here in plattsburgh. If you shoot me your vin I can pull your build sheet real quick (work at a dealer) and get a quote for some mixed paint (family also owns a body shop)
