what was the auto tranny used in the 2wd xj?

I really like the jeep 4.0 litre engine so much that I have another project i'd like to use one in ford falcon project, I know some of you guys are saying what r you doin? LOL!

AW-4 for 2wd and 4x4. The transmission is a Toyota A340 with some very minor modifications for a Jeep. The only difference 2wd vs 4x4, is the tail shaft housing for 4x4 is different than the 2wd to allow for attaching the transfer case.
