Wet floors

When it rains, water collects slowly on the floor of the driver and passenger side of my 1995 Cherokee Country. The carpey gets soaked and a small pool forms on the rubber mats. It is not an active leak that you can watch come in from any specific location and after removing the dash cowl, I can only find dry components. The undercarriage is solid as well. Anyone else experience this? Where could this water come from?

Thanks for the reply. I do notice that the seal is not well installed and drying out in some areas. I did pour 3 buckets of water over the windshield without any leaks though. That doesn't mean it isn't the problem, it may just mean that a long downpour eventually meets a saturation point where it finally leaks in. I will probably reinstall the windshield. It can't hurt.
