went wheelin' today
Thought some of you might get a kick out of this... I was at my girls uncles house today cuttin some fire wood. His house is on a dead end road and his back yard is on a large feild and some woods are back there as well... not a forest lol, but enough to go explore a little.. lot of little mud pits from the recent rain. it's his property, not TOO big but enough to mess around and do a little "wheelin"...
her uncle has this chevy corsica sittin in his yard, runs pretty damn good just he has an 05 toyota pickup.. so anyways after an afternoon of wood cutting the uncle and I get the genious idea to go do some wheeling with the corsica just for laughs... haha was a good time took a couple turns whipping it around the feild and thru some of the woods, and YES we got stuck (obviously, bound to happen )was trying to pull a jeep type move just out of pure idiocy and for laughs and got stuck in a mud hole, pretty deep and the way it landed in the whole nose of the car was burried into the ground and the oil pan was pressed up against the ground, haha she wasn't moving... tires just spun and shot mud everywhere I didn't have my XJ with me as i'm still currantly driving a rental untill i get all the XJs kinks worked out so her uncle had to try and yank it out with his 2WD toyota p/u... the ground was so muddy and wet that the toyotas tires just spun and we didn't want TWO stuck vehicles... which would have turned some fun goofing into us just being idiots haha so I called a friend of mine who lives 5 mins from her uncles house to come tow it out, he has a 4x4 nissan frontier.. nice lookin truck, he tried it in 2wheel just to brag that his 2wd pulled better than the uncles 2wd hahaha but it didn't work, just spun but when put in 4 wheel it pulled the car right out of the hole. Now I know everyone probably thought this was going to be a Thread without pictures , but presonally I hate those as well... so heres a couple of pics from the mayham today ![]() ![]() can't wait to take the XJ there and mess around sorry for the story of a post, It was pretty fun and I thought i'd share it -Mike

haha yea it did relatively good.. we took it up a couple hills and all in the woods, made it thru a couple of mud pits as well but that one was DEEP, you can see how in the first pic the suspension is maxed out (flexin in a corsica
) it was pretty 'deep' about a foot and a half. doesn't look deep because it's only up to the lugnuts but the suspnension was just maxed, .. that wheel was stuck in the hole while the whole front was stuck in mud , pretty much got ourselfs in a funny situation where there was previous spinning tire tracks and the middle raised part was holding the car up while the tire just sat in the hole and spun .. even the 4x4 nissan ALMOST got stuck in that particular mud area haha was a good time.going to have to show that mud whats up with the XJ next time.
