Weird Noise under acceleration
my 98 xj makes a low pitch rattle under a hard start. it seems to be coming from under the center console/ underneath the shifter. Its only when i accelerate hard. if i press the brake and give it gas while i roll it also rattles and shakes. its like creaking noise/ rattle. anyone have the same issue?

might be cat related. my white xj has something broken off in the cat and it rattles like what you describe. but also check the shielding over the cat to see if any of that has come lose before replacing the cat.
