Vibrating Auxiliary Cooling Fan

I was sitting in my jeep drinking a coffee when the whole thing started to vibrate.. then it stopped.. then it did it again. so I popped the hood and found out that the electric fan that goes on and off every 5 seconds was vibrating pretty bad. Is there anyway I can fix this? or do I just need to buy a new fan?

without being able to see it, I cant offer much help, But what I would do, is remove the fan frome the truck, and hook it up to the battery to see if I can tell why its vibrating, my first guess is that it might be missing a blade....

Or it has mud on it. I thought I was going to die when I first heard mine vibrate. After washing the goo off, it worked properly again.

wow someone replied... well earlier today I took it off and found a crack in it... so I threw on a glob of superglue and it helped a TON.. but I still dont like the fact that its probably going to come apart and rattle again.. can I buy just the fan or do I have to buy the whole assembly?

You could always get a Flex-a-lite 110 and connect it to the stock power lines. They cost $110 and require a little cutting. But then you would actually be able to get your arm in to change the belts without pulling anything apart. Otherwise keep an eye open on ebay. If you get a stocker make sure it is a newer one. They cool better than the pre-96 models.
