Up country vs. regular coils

I have a 96 XJ with the Up country suspension package. Does the up country suspension use different coils to achieve its lift?

If so, would it be better to keep my up country coils when I do my 2" BB and HD rear leaves or should I swap out the front coils for new stock units? I have already purchased new stock replacement front coils, but if they throw off my lift I might just sell them.

What does your jeep measure from the center of the front hub to the bottom edge of the flare? Stock is 17.5" I think.

Well the beast is in the shop right now, but basically if the hub to flare measurement is greater than 17.5" then keep the springs, if its 17.5" or less I should be safe swaping springs because my front coils are sagging anyway?

The up country is 1 inch over stock. You should be around 18.5 in the front and 18 in the back. Your new springs will be shorter if your current hasn't sagged. So you would have a 3" lift with a BB.

True, but I've just never seen a separate part listed in quadratec for a front coil. I was just curious where the upcountry's sat after a few years of use.

Yes, the coil and leaf springs are 1 inch taller than stock.

My UpCountry coils have 91,000 miles and lots of 4x4 miles on them and have not sagged yet. The leaf springs are much more likely to sag than the coil springs.
